For a second year, MidCountry Bank has provided a financial grant to Folds of Honor, an organization that provides scholarships to family members of military men and women who have fallen or been disabled while serving our country on active duty. This year’s fundraising event surpassed its goals, raising over $500,000 for this important cause. MidCountry donated $50,000 to this organization for Minnesota military families.

PenFed Foundation Receives $100,000 Donation from MidCountry Bank To Further Mission of Financially Empowering Military Community

The PenFed Foundation, a national 501(c)3 founded by PenFed Credit Union, announced it received a generous $100,000 donation from MidCountry Bank to empower military members, veterans and caregivers with financial stability and opportunity. The funds will be used to provide members of the military community with emergency financial assistance, help veterans achieve the dream of home ownership and support investments in veteran entrepreneurs.

Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) was founded in 1990 with a mission to end homelessness for those who served our country. Since its inception, the efforts of MACV have effectively cut our homeless veteran population in half in the state, but the need is still great. MidCountry Bank has renewed its support of this effort with a $100,000 donation intended to fund programs that help homeless veterans with individualized plans to gain stability and eventual independence.

Central Minnesota Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and MidCountry Bank Partner on Veterans Build Project

Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity and MidCountry Bank have renewed their partnership to build safe and affordable homes for military veterans and their families. A $100,000 grant made by MidCountry Bank in July marks its second engagement with Habitat in Central Minnesota, and brings total bank contributions to this initiative to $175,000. “We are so grateful for MidCountry’s care and support of service member causes, and of course this major gift and partnership in our local community. This provides important funding to complete our second Veterans Build in the area and anchor funding for a third. Our vision is to continue to serve the need for homes for veterans in the years to come,” commented Rick Nelson, Central Minnesota Habitat’s Executive Director.
MidCountry Bank Makes Contribution to Veteran Outreach Program Launched by YMCA of the North

MidCountry Bank has been a longtime supporter of the YMCA programs in Minnesota, with contributions of time, talent and financial support reaching back over 18 years. While all the programs it supports are varied and valued in the communities served, the Veteran Outreach program, piloted in 2016, drew special interest for MidCountry Bank. This unique program supports service members, military families and veterans with free and discounted programming, resources for mental health and brain injury support in conjunction with the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance, and service project coordination with the local VA Medical Center and Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV). To further its mission, MidCountry Bank made a $100,000 grant in late June, providing critical funding at a time when the need is especially great. The growing program is currently serving over 900 veterans and family members.
